Connect resOS (table booking)
Let Neo check availability and book a table during a call, create a resOS API key, paste it into Kaneo and test the connection.
If you take table bookings through resOS, you can connect it to Kaneo so Neo checks available tables and books on the phone while the guest is on the line. The booking lands in resOS as an ordinary phone booking. Nothing else in resOS changes. Only an administrator can set it up.
You find it under Integrationer → resOS ("Integrations → resOS") in the menu.
The resOS API requires a paid resOS plan (Basic, Plus or Unlimited) and the resOS API add-on. Without both you can't create an API key, and Neo can't book. See resOS' own guide.
1. Create an API key in resOS
Activate the API add-on
Sign in to resOS and go to Settings → API integration (in the menu: Settings & add-ons → Integrations → API). Click Activate add-on.
Create the key
Click Generate key and copy it. It's the only value you need.
2. Paste it into Kaneo
In Integrationer → resOS, paste the API key and click Forbind ("Connect"). The restaurant name is optional, Kaneo tries to read it from resOS. Kaneo checks the key right away. If it's wrong, or the API add-on isn't active, you get an error.
Once connected, the card shows your restaurant's name and resOS · bordbooking.
3. Test the connection
Click Test forbindelsen ("Test the connection"). It finds a free time, makes a real test booking (name Kaneo test, no SMS or email to anyone), confirms it and cancels it again. If all goes well, it says "Forbindelsen virker" ("The connection works").
What resOS needs for bookings to work
Neo only offers the times your own resOS online booking offers. Check these in resOS:
Opening hours
Set opening hours on the days you take guests. Closed days and special opening hours apply to Neo too.
Tables bookable online
Create tables with seat counts, and make sure the seating area is bookable online. Add table combinations so larger parties can be booked too.
Neo checks the time again right before she books. If the table was taken in the meantime, she says so and finds a new time. For very large parties she offers to take a message so you can call back.
Your API key is secret. Only paste it into Kaneo's resOS card. If you think it has leaked, create a new key in resOS and connect again.
